FLARE IGNITION SYSTEMS PILOT BURNERS Allied Flare, Inc. has developed an extremely reliable, and durable pilot assembly. This pilot system, constructed of the most durable alloys, can be configured to work with many different ignition systems. Standard pilots are available in either bent tip, or straight tip configuration. Bent tip pilots can be installed on flare tips with steam or air injection rings at the flare top. Straight tip pilots are ideal for use on air flares, utility flares, or flares with shrouds. Standard pilot length is seven (7) feet. Custom length pilots can be made to customers' order. Both bent and straight tip pilots are self-inspirating to reduce plant utility usage, and prevent the need of another supply line. Retrofit pilots to replace most manufacturers original equipment pilots are available. Standard temperature sensing is by Type K thermocouple. Thermocouples are sheathed in a 310 Stainless Steel thermowell to prolong service life (up to 8 years). top CONSTRUCTION Straight tip pilots are constructed of 310 Stainless Steel, with 304 Stainless Steel mixing assembly. Bent Tip Pilots are constructed of 310 Stainless Steel in the upper portion, with the remaining piping being 316 Stainless Steel. The mixing assembly is again 304 Stainless. The Ignition tube is again constructed of 310 Stainless. Seamless alloy pipe is used in the construction of Allied Flare pilots. Although manufacturing pilots from pipe materials is more costly and time consuming, these materials have proven to be much more durable than alloy castings. Pilots are equipped with a " threaded connection for gas inlet. A "Y" strainer is located in line prior to gas entering the fuel gas orifice to prevent clogging of the gas orifice. up top |
